Kristin Fisher has joined CNN on 20 July 2021. She is CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. In her role as Correspondent for Defence and Space at CNN, she has to cover everything ranging from NASA and its recently created Space Force up until commercial space-related companies and the rise and development of space tourism. Kristin, her mother was one of NASA astronauts as well as an avid space fan has spent her entire childhood within the space industry. She served for five years as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy under the Biden and Trump Administrations. Over the course of her tenure, she reported on the 2020 presidential campaign, two impeachment trial as well as two initiatives to end the corona virus pandemic, and two other administrations' efforts. Additionally, she traveled extensively with the Vice President and President of the United States, including a top secret trip to Afghanistan along with the then-President Donald Trump.
